What that means is that the rollers massage excess fluids underneath the skin towards the lymph nodes, which then flushes them out of your system. While the face is top priority you may also wish to cover the clavicle area in a vertical motion. Moving up in the same form you should move up towards your neck. Try to work from your neck upwards starting at your jawline next. It is best to move out from the center of your chin towards your ear on both sides. You can continue this same movement all the way up to your cheekbones. Feel free to move to the outer edges of your face. On your forehead you’re going to want to return to that up and down motion from before, slowly working your way towards your temples. To finish it off, roll horizontally under your eyes and across your brow bone. Additionally you could move the roller inwards to the sides of your nose in either direction. When you’re finished it’s best to wipe your face clean and add one last bit of moisturizer; the previous product will have already been pushed deeply into your skin. Jade rolling is most commonly done 3 to 4 times a week but using it more frequently won’t hurt as long as you disinfect it between uses. Besides the skin benefits, it may help a headache to roll it across your temples and sinuses. Jade rolling is a wonderful way to cool the face especially in summer months, after a day in the sun, then spritz with rose face spritz. HOW TO CLEAN A JADE ROLLER One of the most important parts of using a jade roller is cleaning it, you don’t want to push bacteria into your skin and cause bursts of acne. It is recommended to at the very least wipe down your roller after every use. A deep cleaning is really only required once a week but those with acne may prefer to give it a thorough cleaning more frequently. When cleaning the roller all you need is a damp washcloth with warm water and a gentle soap and pat it dry. Be sure to avoid any chemical cleansers or alcohol. If you wish to give it a more intense cleaning to be sure to remove all dirt and excess product you can also soak the roller in a bowl of warm water and soap for a few minutes.
