Face Oil - The benefits of the new skincare essential

While many claim coconut oil as their holy grail skin saver, rosehip oil is an easy contender to steal that spot. Rosehip oil is the oil extracted from the hip of a rose plant. The hip being the cherry-like ball left behind after a flower blossoms. Rosehip oil can be beneficial for all skin types; it tackles issues such as brightening the skin, reducing hyperpigmentation, protecting against sun damage, increasing collagen production, moisturizing the skin, decreasing inflammation, etc. Another great thing about rosehip oil is that it is good for those with acne due to its fatty acid composition: Linoleic acid = 47-50% alpha-Linolenic acid = 33-40% Palmitic acid = 3-5% Stearic acid = 2-3% Oleic acid and other = 4-20% The rest of our face oil mixture is simple; essential oil of: Hawaiian sandalwood, Bulgarian rose, geranium, frankincense, myrrh, and ylang ylang. Hawaiian sandalwood promotes smooth skin and hides imperfections. Smells warm and woodsy. Bulgarian rose improves natural skin glow and radiance and helps with superficial broken capillaries and scars, as well as eczema and rosacea. Smells sweet, mellow, and citrusy. Geranium is helpful for reducing acne breakouts and skin irritation. Smells floral and earthy. Frankincense is beneficial in treating dry skin and minimizing the appearance of wrinkles, age spots, scars, and stretch marks. Smells sweet and woody with notes of lemon. Myrrh aids wound healing and lessens wrinkles. Smells darkly fruity with a rich sweetness. Ylang ylang is a very effective skin cleanser with strong skin regenerative properties. Smells heady, a little spicy and slightly floral with a memorable sweetness. Daily use guide: We recommend using our Perfect Balance Face Oil once a day in the morning. It works well with most products, but due to the rosehip oil (which is high in vitamin A) be mindful when using products with retinoids.
